Facts About Eye Minus May Not Give Birth Normal

Pregnant women with minus eyes are often afraid to give birth normally. That is because there is an assumption that people with minus eyes can experience blindness when giving birth normally, so prefer to give birth by cesarean section. Minus eyes or myopia are vision problems when sufferers find it difficult to see distant objects (nearsightedness). However, pregnant women with high minus eyes are still recommended to have regular eye examinations. An eye examination by an eye doctor should be done at least every 3 months during pregnancy, to assess and monitor the condition of the eyeball structure. To be safe and avoid complications, you should discuss with your ophthalmologist and obstetrician about the benefits and risks of giving birth normally, if you suffer from minus eye or myopia during pregnancy.
